The director is known for his biopic portrayals, especially films like Mary Kom. According to the sources, Sayyeshaa has been signed for the film as the makers thought she aptly fits the role. Sayyeshaa recently made her Bollywood debut with Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay, which did really well at the box-office irrespective of having a festive weekend release and a major competition from Karan Johar’s directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Legendary actor Dilip Kumar’s grand niece Sayyeshaa Saigal will play the role of Sanjay Dutt’s daughter in revenge drama Bhoomi, which marks the comeback of Sanjay Dutt. The film will be made under the banner of Bhushan Kumar led T-Series, Sandeep Singh and Omung Kumar’s production house Legend Studios. Sayyeshaa Saigal appeared in Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay. Bhoomi is an emotional, revenge drama that centers around the relationship between a father and daughter. Omung’s last outing as a director was Sarabjit, which was critically acclaimed but did not do well at the box-office. She will most likely start shooting next year in January.
