Rajinikanth turns 66 on Monday. Karunanidhi was admitted to the Kauvery Hospital on December 1. His millions of fans worldwide, traditionally celebrate his birthday by organising well-fare measures, re-releasing his old blockbusters in theatres, putting up big banners and posters among others. Superstar Rajinikanth visited DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s residence last night to enquire about the latter’s health condition. The makers of the star’s cult hit Baasha had planned to release the digitally spruced version of the film to mark his birthday. The former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister had been hospitalised in Chennai since a week “for optimisation of nutrition and hydration.”
Rajinikanth was photographed leaving the DMK patriarch’s Gopalapuram residence after spending some time with the 93-year-old leader. Popular lyricists Vairamuthu also called on the leader to learn about his well being. Rajini had also lost his good friend Cho Ramaswamy, who passed away last week while he was under medical care.
