Sarah Close – Perfect After All

I’m starting to think that just maybe it was perfect after all
When we would let our hearts dictate when we ran out of time
Far away it seems like we never put a foot wrong
I’ve painted a new one lately
The pictures of you are fading
And left with me are wisps of you
You were here as mine
Maybe we were perfect after all
And holds me there

It catches me on weekdays mostly
A scent in the air
It’s harder to recall
You mirrored me to give a little
You have never been much of a follower
We’re standing ten feet tall
For a moment we are back to when

You have drawn and crossed the line
Memories and dreams

Then you moved on with life
