Coincidentally, Vishal’s Mollywood debut Villain (also starring Mollywood superstar Mohanlal), is expected to lock horns with another biggie Vijay’s Mersal in Kerala, a big market for Vijay. Vishal is touted to play an army officer in the movie which revolves around digital crimes. Irumbu Thirai is an action thriller that also stars Action King Arjun and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. It is bankrolled by Studio Green and 2 D Entertainment. Irumbu Thirai is directed by newcomer Mithran and produced by Vishal Film Factory. It also marks the return of legendary comedian Senthil in Tamil cinema after a long hiatus. Directed by Vignesh Shivn, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. While Vishal’s friend Arya was the first choice to play the villain, he later backed out saying that playing a negative role in Tamil at this time of his career may not be a good idea. As of now only these two movies are scheduled for release during Pongal, a big holiday for Kollywood. Mersal and Villain are expected to hit the silver screen during Diwali. Related News
