Justice League early reactions: Critics call this Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck starrer ‘enjoyable’ and ‘lot of fun’

“Justice League is not a perfect movie. The film sends the DCEU in a hopeful direction in line with where the brand should be headed. I am genuinely happy to report #JusticeLeague is a lot of fun. I have a lot to say about ‘Justice League’ but will wait till it’s released to really get into it. It’s not perfect and has its problems, but does the job of making you care about these characters as a team by its end. Justice League brings together the most powerful DC superheroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg. Justice League, starring Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, and Ray Fisher, hits theaters worldwide on November 17. And that is why Justice League bands together to stop him. It’s a ton a fun, start to finish. Destroying earth is just another step in his quest for total domination. BUT, more importantly, it gets the heroes right. Every member of the League is fantastic and it’s tough to choose a favorite. But two important things to know: stay till the very end of the credits and Jason Momoa (@PrideofGypsies) is awesome as Aquaman,” he said. Justice League is better than expected, but not a home run. And that is why Steppenwoll (Ciarán Hinds) is here. Every member of the League is fantastic and it’s tough to choose a favorite. “I am genuinely happy to report #JusticeLeague is a lot of fun. The interaction between the team is a lot of fun. Justice League’s release may still be a week away, but critics, the lucky folks, get exclusive screenings before we plebeians can even think of rushing to the theaters. Darkseid is basically DC’s equivalent of Thanos (Thanos was specifically modeled on Darkseid) and rules a planet called Apokolips. It’s also VERY funny, in lots of unexpected ways,” she said. “I have a lot to say about ‘Justice League’ but will wait till it’s released to really get into it. — Peter Sciretta (@slashfilm) November 10, 2017
Collider’s editor-in-chief Steven Weintraub was pretty economical with words in his tweet, but he did say he liked Jason Momoa’s performance as Aquaman. Unlike Marvel Cinematic Universe which is well-established and has been received well by critics and audience overall, the reception for DCEU movies has been more on the mixed side. It is good to see, a full-fledged DCEU movie receiving positive reviews, especially in the arena of characters that matter. It’s also VERY funny, in lots of unexpected ways. Flash and Aquaman steal the show. Wonder Woman has been the only film that has managed to impress both critics and audiences, and last year’s ambitious Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice was dismissed by critics. BUT, more importantly, it gets the heroes right. Flash and Aquaman steal the show. For all the latest Entertainment News, download Indian Express App

Justice League will release theatrically on November 17. It’s a ton a fun, start to finish,” he said. It’s not perfect and has its problems, but does the job of making you care about these characters as a team by its end. “Justice League is better than expected, but not a home run. Although the embargo has not been lifted yet, we do have early reactions and a majority of the ‘lucky folks’ aforementioned seem to have enjoyed this film, calling it funny and enjoyable. It has story “flaws” and a simple, CGI villain. IGN’s Terri Schwartz said while Justice League is not perfect, it is a lot of fun. Thus, DC and Warner Bros, the giant behind DCEU, must be hoping Justice League goes Wonder Woman’s way instead of Batman vs Superman. Cyborg and villain are the weak links. The film sends the DCEU in a hopeful direction in line with where the brand should be headed. But he also said, the heroes are great, and the film is fun from beginning to end. Justice League is not a perfect movie. They are charged with stopping Steppenwolf, Darkseid’s general and uncle. The interaction between the team is a lot of fun. — Brandon Davis (@BrandonDavisBD) November 10, 2017

Slashfilm’s Peter Sciretta also praised the interaction between the Justice League members. pic.twitter.com/1AAjYgv16i

Comic Book Now’s Brandon Davis complained about the narrative and lack of a proper villain (Steppenwolf is CGI), a problem that has plagued MCU too. Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League is the first flagship movie in DC Extended Universe. Cyborg and villain are the weak links,” he said. It has story “flaws” and a simple, CGI villain.
