Star Wars The Last Jedi may have impressed critics, but its audience score on Rotten Tomatoes is shockingly low

Well, not really. But there are fans, and then there are fanatics. After 2-3 days of its release, when Justice League’s critic score stood around 40%, 85% of audiences seemed to like it. What do you think is the reason for this divergence of opinions between critics and audiences? I am not saying everybody who is loving it is not a Star Wars fans. On Rotten Tomatoes, The Last Jedi is getting all the love critics have with 93% score at Tomatometer. The situation was reversed, though, but the division was about the same. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is a great movie with several moving scenes, twists and great spectacle, it is a lot different from the previous Star Wars movies. I saw a similar phenomenon with Justice League. Sometimes either critics hate it and the audiences like it, sometimes it is the other way round. Star Wars The Last Jedi released on December 15. With the latest Star Wars film, The Last Jedi, it’s the latter case. The consensus says, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi honors the saga’s rich legacy while adding some surprising twists — and delivering all the emotion-rich action fans could hope for.”

I will go out on a limb and say that the fans rating the film poorly are those who are diehard fans of the franchise.
