The story of the new GoT show has been penned by both Goldman and Martin, while the teleplay has been written by Goldman. The Goldman-written series will chronicle the period from the Age of the Heroes to the Age of Chaos, according to the same report. Goldman is an accomplished and popular writer who has penned the screenplays of films such as Stardust, Kick Ass, X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
