Police arrest film extras for roaming around Mumbai dressed as ‘terrorists’

The incident happened on May 27 when Anil Mahajan, a bank watchman and ex-Border Security Force soldier, informed the police that he had spotted two men dressed as “terrorists” in Palghar near Mumbai. Even the film’s production unit in-charge has been booked. #TV9News pic.twitter.com/o74uib9PQQ

Though the film’s production unit produced papers to get the actors released, Mumbai Police went ahead and registered a case against Balram and Arbaaz under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, for creating panic and disrupting peace while dressed as terrorists. The men arrested were identified as film extras Balram Ginwala (23) and Arbaaz Khan (20). As per reports, the police stopped the bus on which the two men were travelling only to find out that it was headed for a movie shoot. 0

After an hour-long search operation, #Mumbai police arrested 2 men suspected to be terrorists, but later turned out to be extras on the sets of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s upcoming action film. Anil Mahajan, a bank watchman & ex BSF personnel, informed police about 2 persons dressed as terrorists roaming in Palghar on May 27. Police with help of CCTV footage stopped the bus which the duo had boarded & found that it was headed for a movie shoot& suspects were side actors

Mumbai Police registered a case against movie’s production unit in-charge & the 2 actors Balram Ginwala & Arbaaz Khan under Section 188 of IPC for creating panic and disrupting peace among citizens. They were roaming around in search of cigarettes. Police also felicitated the security guard Anil Ramdas Mahajan for his alertness. The Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff film is being directed by Siddharth Anand.
