«Our exhibition is about  the style of a resident of a big city, therefore, in  the development concept, we tried to reproduce the rhythm of urban space in lines and squares of streets and blocks. In & nbsp; the first room called "Showcase" one dress is listed separately. For the first time, things by famous Soviet fashion designers who worked in the main modeling organizations of the USSR will be exhibited, for example, kits created by Tamara Faidel at the All-Union House of Fashion Models and Alla Levashova at SKhKB. And yes you will not see a single male image, we show the city of women in all its eclectic diversity. City street and urban style are heterogeneous, and we took this principle of eclecticism as the basis: don expect consistent movement from date to date, from suit to suit, from dress to dress along the chronological tape. The exhibition will run until 13 February 2023             the last 160 years
The abolition of serfdom in 1861 gave a powerful impetus to the development of Russian cities, which, in turn, contributed to a change in urban fashion, which now belonged not only to aristocrats, but also to new townspeople, including peasants. This approach will make it possible to fully present urban fashion in its various manifestations. Photo: AiF
Along with images of the city, the history of Russian fashion will also be shown: from Nadezhda Lamanova to the works of contemporary designers. jpg” height=”600″ width=”454″ style=”display: block;” />

The style of a resident of any big city
Despite the fact that most of the items are associated with Moscow, the exposition does not clearly link to a particular city — images of heroines can be imagined in any big city in Russia. The whole space seems to be strung on a wide avenue — the central artery of the metropolis, from which streets, lanes, squares diverge. Slender lines of streets, arches, columns, windows — everything works to  create the image of the city, in which fashion organically exists  — notes Yulia Napolova, author of the exhibition idea, architect. I hope that people of different generations will come to our new exhibition, because the unique image of any city is created, first of all, by its inhabitants», — noted Alexey Levykin, director of the Historical Museum. Источник aif.ru Over the last few years, we organized exhibitions dedicated to the history of folk costume, court costume, and the phenomenon of men's fashion and style. Even the huge showcase representing historical bags resembles a building with windows. The main department store (the “Showcase” space) is also located on the central avenue, a little further on is the station square, business districts, a park, and theatres. The exposition will bring together items from the collection of the Historical Museum, private collections and archives of Russian designers — characteristic images of fashionable city dwellers from different eras will be recreated in front of the visitor. You will see townswomen of different eras in different urban spaces and circumstances: they rush to work, meet relatives on the platform, dress up for a very solemn event», — saidTim Ilyasov, author of the exhibition project, fashion researcher. A special and very eclectic image of the Russian city has appeared, which will change from epoch to epoch, at the same time retaining its originality.
